Programs and Services
GENERAL OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDENT AFFAIRS AND SERVICES PROGRAMS
- To provide a set of student-centered activities and services in support of academic instruction intended to facilitate holistic student development for active involvement in nation building; Sec. 10 , Sec. 13
- To promote access to quality, relevant, efficient and effective student affairs and services; and Sec. 10
- To support student welfare and development. Sec. 10
FUNCTIONAL OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDENT WELFARE PROGRAMS AND SERVICES
- Establish a procedure for processing student’s admission; Sec. 24.1
- Provide information and education materials and to design programs and activities to facilitate student adjustment to University life; Sec. 13.1., 13.1.3
- Grant access to various forms of scholarships and financial assistance to students; Sec. 25.1 , 25.2
- Design integrated programs and services to facilitate positive change in student behavior, feelings, and attitudes to help them utilize their full potentials; Sec. 14.1
- Provide primary medical and dental care and wellness program; Sec. 27.1
- Provide assistance and access to a safe, clean and affordable accommodation that is conducive for learning; Sec. 29.1
- Provide a safe and secure environment for all members of the University community; Sec. 28.1
- Implement judiciously University Rules and Regulations governing student .behavior; Art. VIII Sec. 22
- Set up a feedback mechanism to assess the effectiveness and review the programs and services of the student affairs and services. Art XI Sec. 39
FUNCTIONAL OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDENT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS AND SERVICES
- Provide programs and opportunities to develop social awareness, personal, internalization, and meaningful contribution to nation building; Art IX Sec. 35
- Promote physical fitness and wellness of students; Sec. 34.1
- Develop and enhance talents, abilities and values-for appreciation, promotion and conversation of national culture and multi-cultural heritage; Sec. 33.1 & 33.2
- Promote campus journalism by granting recognition and support to the official student publication/organ/journal of the University College; Art VIII Sec. 23
- Grant recognition and official representation to the University Councils duly elected members of the University Student Council; Art VIII Sec. 21
- Provide opportunities for personal development in an organizational setting; Sec. 18 , Sec. 19
- Promote an environment conducive to free expression of ones’ religious orientation; Sec. 30
