On November 25, 2024, the Caraga State University Cabadbaran Campus (CSUCC) took a significant step toward maintaining its commitment to quality management by welcoming ISO auditors for the ISO 9001:2015 recertification audit. This important event took place at the CSUCC Athenaeum and was attended by a wide array of key figures from the campus, including Division Chiefs, Unit Heads, Process Owners, and the Campus Director, Dr. Deomila B. Mamaoag.
The recertification audit, a key part of CSU Cabadbaran Campus’ continuous improvement efforts, is designed to ensure that the campus upholds the highest standards of quality in its processes and deliverables. It is part of the university’s ongoing commitment to enhance operational efficiency, effectiveness, and overall service quality. The audit team was led by Mr. Kevin Castillon, the ISO Lead Auditor, who was accompanied by his team of Support Auditors: Mr. Gerard Cayetano, Mr. Mark Allan Balbarino, and Mr. Billy Joel Sadangsal. The auditors conducted a thorough evaluation of various campus departments, offices, and colleges, scrutinizing their processes and outputs to ensure that they align with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
The ceremony was officially opened by the campus director, Dr. Deomila B. Mamaoag and was graced by the presence of Caraga State University’s top officials. University President, Dr. Rolyn C. Daguil who also delivered his message of encouragement, attended the event alongside the Vice President for Executive Operations, Dr. Michelle V. Japitana, and the Director for the Office of Planning and Quality Management Services, Mr. Vincent N. Cotoron. Their presence underscored the importance of the recertification process and their support for CSU Cabadbaran’s continuous drive for quality. It commenced with a prayer led by Ms. Nova Estenzo, the head of the Office of the Counseling and Career Services that have surely made the campus personnel cling to their faith of having best results of the audit.
The ISO 9001:2015 recertification audit will span two days. The opening meeting took place at the CSU Cabadbaran Campus, and the closing meeting will be held at the CSU Main Campus. This process will help ensure that CSU Cabadbaran Campus continues to meet international standards of excellence, fostering a culture of quality that benefits students, faculty, and staff alike.
As the audit progresses, the Caraga State University Cabadbaran Campus looks forward to maintaining its ISO certification and building upon its strong foundation of quality management for years to come.
