Caraga State University Cabadbaran Campus (CSUCC) with the College of Engineering and Information Technology (CEIT) recently marked two significant milestones with back-to-back ceremonial Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) signings, demonstrating its commitment to fostering sustainable development and innovation in the region.

On March 24, 2025, CSUCC, the Department of Education (DepEd) Magallanes District, and the Municipality of Magallanes solidified their partnership through the MoA signing for the “BUSWAK” extension program. BUSWAK, which stands for “Building Up Systems, Wiring, Automation, and Knowledge para sa Magallanes DepEd and LGU,” aims to empower the Magallanes community through innovative systems, automation, and knowledge-sharing. Spearheaded by CEIT, the program is set to enhance the capabilities of DepEd and the local government by addressing modern challenges with technological solutions.
The ceremony, held at the CSUCC Athenaeum Building, was attended by key officials, including CSU President Dr. Rolyn C. Daguil, Dr. Jeannie L. Motivo (Schools Division Superintendent of Agusan del Norte), and Engr. Blondie T. Sanchez (Dean of CEIT). Their presence highlighted the shared vision of CSUCC, DepEd, and LGU to empower the community and drive progress through collaboration and education.
The following day, on March 25, CSUCC continued its streak of groundbreaking initiatives with the MoA signing for Project Tun-EE. This partnership between CSU, DepEd-Agusan del Norte Division, and the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers of the Philippines, Inc. (IIEE) – Butuan Agusan del Norte Chapter focuses on optimizing electrical system infrastructure in elementary schools. The project’s goal is to enhance energy efficiency, safety, and the learning environment in schools across Agusan del Norte.
The signing event at the CSU Cabadbaran Campus Athenaeum brought together leaders, including CSU President Dr. Rolyn C. Daguil, DepEd-Agusan del Norte SGOD Chief Dr. Glorina Siclon, and IIEE Chapter President Engr. Arnel B. Alipao, who emphasized the importance of research-driven solutions and long-term sustainability in schools. Project leader Engr. Erickson Tacda assured that the project would produce practical recommendations that contribute to safer and smarter educational environments.
Both events showcased CSUCC’s dedication to fostering partnerships that benefit the community. With BUSWAK and Project Tun-EE, CSUCC and its partners aim to create transformative change by addressing modern challenges through education, research, and technology. These initiatives reflect CSUCC’s unwavering commitment to serving as a catalyst for sustainable progress and community empowerment.
Through collaboration and innovation, CSUCC is engineering a brighter future for Caraga and beyond.
