Bulaga, a Bachelor of Technical Vocational and Teacher Education (BTVTEd) student, major in Architectural Drafting Technology, winning 2nd place in the prestigious Photography Category. The award was presented on November 15, 2025, at the Ayala Museum in Makati City, a moment that not only celebrates James’ artistic achievement but also showcases the rising talent within CSU Cabadbaran City and in Mindanao.
This year’s NSAC carried the theme “LIKA NA, LIKHA PA NG OBRA”. Among the over 2,300 entries submitted from all over the country in all the categories of the competition, James’ work caught the attention of the esteemed panel of judges, standing out for its unique perspective and the powerful message behind it.
James was accompanied by his dedicated mentors, Ms. Ivy Y. Naptong and Mr. Ian Kent A. Tejamo, who have been instrumental in honing his skills and guiding him throughout his artistic journey. Clinching the 2nd place, James was awarded a cash prize of P40,000, along with a limited-edition Shell NSAC shirt and jacket, a prestigious silver medal, commemorative plaque, Shell vouchers and a complimentary teens circle membership.
This victory not only brings pride to the whole CSU community but also inspires countless others to pursue their creative passions. With his talent and determination, James M. Bulaga has proven that great things are possible when one dares to dream and create.
