Congratulations to Dr. Erlin S. Rodas and her dynamic team from the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management (CTHM) for winning 2nd place in the Professional Category of the “3-Minute Pitch to Policymakers Contest” at the 7th Caraga Health Research Conference, held on November 13, 2024, at Almont Inland Resort, Butuan City.
This innovative “Herb-Fruit Blend” project, already a grantee of a utility model, aims to be developed as a potent beverage for dengue prevention. Dr. Rodas, alongside her talented team members—Alecris V. Gregorio, Richel Pitogo, Arvin John Pene, Chaira D. Jamero, Nancy G. Medina, and Judisa I. Salalima—presented a compelling case for this unique health drink, highlighting its potential to impact public health policy.
The team’s success is a testament to the unwavering support from the CSUCC RDIE and the entire Caraga State University Cabadbaran Campus (CSUCC) community. Their encouragement and resources have been instrumental in advancing this research, showcasing the university’s commitment to fostering innovative health solutions for the region.
Kudos to the team for their vision and dedication to health innovation in Caraga!
