CSU secured top spots in the MASTS Culture and Arts Festival 2023 held at USM Kabacan, North Cotabato last November 21-26, 2023. Clarence Dingding together with his coach Ms. Ivy Y. Naptong and John Lester Garcia with his coach Mr. Ryan Chester G. Fong were declared Champions in In-Situ Painting and Artistic Photography respectively, while Margaret Golapo with his coach Tomasito S. Yatan landed 3rd place in Pencil Drawing. The three of them qualify for PASUC 2024 and will represent CSU in the national arena. Another PASUC 2024 qualifier, Jover Ken Luague, participated in the Battle of the Bands with his co-coach Prof. Joselyn T. Mahumot secured the 5th spot.
Meanwhile, participants from Hip-Hop and Folk Dance competitions both landed 7th place and top 2 in Caraga Region with Ms. Prosfe June D. Yee and Ms. Rigel Shane C. Serrano as coaches. In addition, CSU Radio Drama team who placed 7th and top 2 in Caraga Region were represented by Justy Caga-anan and Prof. Ritchfildjay L. Mariscal as his coach.
Out of sixteen (16) participating schools in the Mr. and Ms. MASTS Culture and Arts 2023, representatives from Caraga State University, Mr. George Quiero and Ms. Arjean Egay were proclaimed as Mr. MASTS 4th runner-up and Ms. MASTS 3rd runner-up respectively at the University of Southern Mindanao Auditorium on November 25, 2023.
