The RGADC- Regional Gender and Development Committee led the opening activity for the National Women’s Month celebration last March 1, 2023 at Kinaadman ground with the theme “We for Gender Equality and Inclusive Society. #WecanbeEquALL”.
CSU hosted the opening as a part of the University’s ongoing initiatives to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment. The event was held at Kinaadman ground, CSU Butuan City where the grounds was filled with purple-colored crowd.
It is also participated by the different agencies such members of the Local Government Unit of Butuan and different regional agencies like the Department of Social Welfare and Development-Caraga, Philippine Statistics Authority-Caraga, Department of Science and Technology, Commission on Higher Education, Department of Agriculture, Bureau of Fire Department, Butuan City Police, DOTr-LTO Caraga, and more.
It’s a month-long celebration bringing series of events. Moreover the CSUCC team was spearheaded by Dr. Deomila A. Basnig, OIC-Chancellor and GAD focal person Ms. Mary Rigel Shane C. Serrano.
