CSUCC Studs Bagged Awards During the TBI Navigatu’s Pitching Competition

 Four (4) teams from Caraga State University Cabadbaran City (CSUCC) emerged as winners during the TBI Navigatu’s Pitching Competition with the theme “Driving Innovation towards Caraga’s Fishing, Agri-forestry, Minerals and Ecotourism” held at the Decision Theater, Library Building, CSU last June 8, 2022. 

A total of ten (10) teams from Caraga State University’s Main and Cabadbaran City campuses took the five-minute pitch for their business. Conquered the top spot was Chayote Express which aims to reduce food waste and address the oversupply of chayote in the region by developing nutritious pastries out of it. The team comprises of Mary Rose Abelardo, Rhoanne Gaye Engalan, and Gerlie Alaba with Ms. Ritchel Pitogo as their coach.

On the second spot was the Hito-Go (Slimilicios Spanish Style Hito), the team is composed of Mariefer Bustillo, May Leghidan, and Jessa Soliva with Ms. Mae Karren L. Crujedo as their coach. On the third spot was Aquatech Strider, on the team was Danijane Gonzales, Jannah Jane Bugas, and Cris Jay Lord Eduarte and thier coach is Mr. Novie Dave B. Perez. Fourth spot was Pijanga Longganisa Delight; the team is composed of Justy Caga-anan, Charles Saavedra, Lyle Bunsato and their coach is Ms. Charisse D. Galusan.

The panel of evaluators is composed of the experts and professionals in the government and private sector, namely: Hon. Cherry May Busa,City Councilor, Butuan City; ARD. Ricardo Varela, Assistant Regional Director( Department of Science and Technology); ARD. Brenda Corvera, Assistant Regional Director (Department of Trade and Industry); Mr. Dean Joshua Solis,Officer from the Department of Information and Communication Technology; and Engr. Jerenato Alfante, CEO and President, Macro Wiring Technologies Inc.

The event is anchored on Caraga State University’s commitment to innovation and entrepreneurship and it was made possible through the collaborative effort of the DOST-PCIEERD.
